Today we visited the ancient capital city of Antigua. It is filled with beautiful old monastaries and churches, coffee plantations, cobblestone streets and little shops. The lush green mountains envelope the city and paint a backdrop that is breathtaking. We visited an old monastary that has been converted into a hotel and museum. We got to walk through the catacombs and secret passages and rooms beneath the chapel.
Besides the scenery, the company was what truly made it heavenly. Micaiah was a perfect angel. She was happy all day. She ate well, napped well and traveled well. It couldn't have been any better. We are having dinner with some new friends from Dayton tonight and will finish off the paperwork at the embasy tomorrow. Then it will be official.
