update!!

we are in...

yeah we are in our new home! we have been frantically unpacking and having sooo much fun meeting the new neighbors and getting plugged in at church and in the community.

here's the amazing timeline:
6/3 resigned from Horizon
6/17 potential buyer for house
7/1 official offer on house
7/8 job offer and acceptance at Christ Community Church
7/16 began packing our house
8/1 closed on our house and moved in with Peter's mom
8/11 moved out of Peter's mom's home (Peter found major wood rot/mold/mildew in her kitchen while cleaning her dryer duct) and moved into Peter's brother's house
8/11 Peter left for middle school camp
8/14 I began a 3 week graduate level online course to keep up my teaching certification

8/30 we closed on our home in Elgin IL
9/1 we spent our first night in our new home, still no stuff (we decided to leave it in storage over Labor Day weekend, thinking it would be difficult to find help moving in)
9/4 completed graduate course (95%, I have to brag, after the massive stress I went through to get through the course I was ecstatic with my grade!)
9/7 moved stuff from storage to our new home

so maybe this will help to clarify why i have not written letters, called friends, blogged, or finished unpacking my house yet!

we will get there some day, until then we have really been enjoying our home, our neighbors, new friends, and our church!
