birthday party with new friends

Caleb (LarryBoy) was invited to a birthday party by one of his new friends and teammates on his soccer team. they got to swim and then change into Halloween costumes for cake and presents! Peter (Spider Man)is the birthday boy and Jake (Pirate) is also on their soccer team.

Island Park, Geneva IL

this is one of my fondest memories as a kid. biking, feeding ducks, and playing at Island Park
I was so excited to bring my kids here, we had a blast!

we have been saving the heels of our bread since we moved in and today we got to feed the ducks! the kids loved it. the geese started getting nasty and we had to relocate up on the bridge and feed them while they were in the water rather than where they could walk onto the stones where we had been standing.

this is worthy of it's own post!!!

so while we were feeding the ducks my two nephews, both of whom have angleman syndrome and can always provide entertainment, decided it was time for a show. Timothy took off his shoe and Brandon threw it in the river. and their mom is just as good at adding to the entertainment. she fished it out!

and got it! what a mom!

and she didn't even mind my uncontrollable laughter and photo shoot during the entire thing (or at least she pretended she didn't)

elijah's first "real" soccer experience

elijah finally had a chance to be "officially" in soccer! He absolutely loves it and if i do say so, he is the most cooperative, well behaved, obedient, and has the best skills too! he is just so darn excited to have his own time playing soccer. It is a class at the city sports arena.

pumpkin patch

tonight we went to Windy Acres Pumpkin Patch to pick out pumpkins!







then we headed to daddy's game to "watch" him play soccer!

too funny...

since we have lived in our new home, we have noticed some differences in comparison to our old home...

the light switches are lower (even Micaiah can reach them and she just measured in at the 10th percentile for a 2 year old)
-the counter tops are lower
-we have a few half walls that are very low

well to be quite honest, Elijah is the one who has noticed this.

his new favorite phrased, used no less than 10-15 times per day (no joke)

"mom look how big i am"
"mom do you want to see how fast i am?" then he runs around the new circle path in the house that goes from kitchen to dining room, living room, front entrance, hallway, and then back to kitchen

he is so darn funny!
