today after school we began homework, as usual. caleb finished all of his homework, swept the entire kitchen floor, moving furniture to get in a thorough cleaning, and cleaned up all he had swept with the dust pan. then he asked where we were eating supper (little kid table, we usually eat there when daddy is not home, or dining room table). he preceded to set the entire table, pour drinks, and make name tags for each place setting. by the way, caleb has always been a huge helper however this was the first time he just started sweeping and setting the table without being asked.
then at my seat he left this note:
i am overwhelmed at the gift God has given me in my son. he has a beautiful spririt, genenrous heart, and is such a loving boy. he teaches me so much and i am so very grateful for who he is becoming.
during dinner caleb kept saying this is the best dinner ever! i commented like i was glad he liked the spaghetti and meatballs, he let me know he wasn't referring the the meal, but the place setting complete with name tags that he had set up! :o)
