Last week Elijah had his last soccer game of the season and uncle Chris and Emily came to watch. Chris asked Elijah if he would score him a goal. Elijah said sure!
I asked if he would score one for me. Elijah said no, he would only score one and we'd have to share.
His team has been pretty inconsistent in showing up for games or practice so I knew if would be a rough game. We only had three players to their six... so it was 4 on 3.
Elijah scored one and said, "that was for Chris."
Elijah scored again and said "that was for you dad!"
Elijah scored again and said, "that was for aunti Emily."
Elijah scored again and I asked, "Who was that one for?"
ME!
We tied 5-5 on a goal Elijah bounced off one of his teammates as she tripped in front of the goal.
Can you say "Proud dad?"
