we are getting closer

as of Thursday, 2/9 the family court interview was complete and the power of attorney signed. this removes the birthmother from the adoption process. now we just wait for the Guatemalan government to run its course!!

Detailed (estimated) timeline for the adoption process:

10-14 days after DNA taken we should receive DNA results

3-4 weeks to preapproval, then we enter PGN

4 weeks (average time in PGN) this is the big unknown, some families are out in days, others not for months. as I said the average time right now is 4 weeks, this average changes constantly

2-3 weeks after PGN, we receive our appointment at the embassy to go pick up Micaiah

yes, we do have a life outside of the adoption, however as you can imagine it has been a huge part of our lives.

the boys, yep, we have 2, Caleb is now 3 1/2 and Elijah 20 months! they are sooooo much fun, some of my favorite ages, of course, I feel like I always say that. I think I just really love my boys. Caleb is officially registered for preschool next year. and Elijah is officially 2, or at least he acts 2, in every sense of the word. They do everything together and get along most of the time.

still trying to get back into the swing of posting more often.
