Here is Micaiah Jane! This picture was taken on Saturday, January 28, our sweet daughter is 4 1/2 months old.
We finally got word last night that the DNA testing has been done, today the family is scheduled for an interview in family court and they are expected to sign the Power of Attorney which will end the birth family's part in this adoption. This signed piece of paper is what will make the adoption as official as it can be until she is in our arms.
We anticipate the homecoming day to be sometime in May.

YYYAAAAAHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I will have to call my mom and tell her thanks for praying specifically! :) I cannot wait to hear soon that they signed those papers! She is the cutest things! yeah, a playmate for Anna! Love you guys and miss you.
Congratulations! Shelley pointed me to your blog as we have been dealing with (and blogging about) a difficult situation with our own Ethiopian adoption. I am so, so happy things are moving along for you guys! Your daughter is beautiful, what a blessing!

Just wanted to say congrats!!!
I have been following your blog recently. We are adopting an almost 7 year old from Guatemala. We are stuck waiting for DNA to happen. The embassy is AWFUL right now. I am SO happy for you that things are moving along now!
