I am on an online forum with other Guat. adoptive families and we chat about lots of different things, recently naming our children. so I thought I would paste my response on my blog for fun!
Peter and I chose names for a boy and a girl in college, believe it or not!
Caleb Christopher, Caleb we chose from the Bible, it means faitful, loyal, courageous. in hebrew it means dog and dog was his first word:o) Christopher, after my brother-in-law, who we both love and respect.
Elijah Arthur, was a mystery, even after he was born. A few hours later we settled on Elijah, which we also chose from the Bible. Elijah means "the Lord is my God" and we had already chosen his middle name, Arthur, after my father-in-law. Before my father-in-law passed away, Elijah and him had a special bond.
Micaiah Jane Floricelda, Micaiah, again from the Bible, means "who is like God" and Jane after my maternal grandmother who I admire and respect so much. Floricelda, was from her birthmother, whose middle name was Florinda and gave my daughter the middle name Floricelda
