another days events

Last night we took the boys to daddy's last soccer game of the season. Game time: 8:20! Despite it being an hour past bedtime, they had a great time! They really enjoyed watching daddy play, Elijah follows the game better than any 21 month old I've seen! He just loves sports, daddy is soooo proud. The boys had lots of friends at the game so they enjoyed playing soccer as well.

This morning it was 60 degrees at 8:30! We enjoyed the beautiful, but windy day. By 4:00, it had dropped to 47 degrees, YUCK! We had a play date with some friends, 9 kids between 18 months and 3 1/2 with only 3 moms!!!! and I only brought my 2, quite a change, usually I am the one with the extra kiddos.

This afternoon we took Elijah to the doctor. He had been on Saturday and was diagnosed with pink eye. He has had a terrible cough for over a month now, he has lost his voice twice, and just seems to be feeling yucky so I decided to take him in. I thought maybe it is just a cold, but what if it's worse I didn't realize it. Sure enough he has bronchiolitus (RSV) just like when he was little. They did a throat culture to see if he had strep, but that came back negative. She said it's just viral. I sure hope he is not one of those kids who is sick all the time.

Tonight, Peter and I went on a date. Peter and Amy planned a date night for the student ministry. Fathers and daughters and mothers and sons. He gave them litte guides with tips for the parents on not nagging (moms) and treating the girls like queens, tips for the kids, conversation starters, etc. It was relly neat, everyone had a great time!

Well, to this day we have watched Micaiah video every day since we have been home. Missing her like crazy and waiting for the process to do its thing. Please pray that we get into and out of PGN fast!!!!!!!!! While we were in Guatemala I told Peter the thing that made this process bearable was knowing that Micaiah was coming home in God's perfect timing. This was much easier to say when she was in my arms. Now we are praying for a speedy process.

More exciting news, our friends the Walatka's (w/ twins Tommy and Hunter who are Caleb's age and baby Anna) are officially in process to adopt a 1 year old from Ethiopia. His name is Ben! Please pray for them and that their process moves quickly, he is hydrocyphalic (sp?) and needs to get here asap so that he can get proper medical attention.
