we have been busy busy busy.
RANDOM events:
Thursday we sent off for our road trip to Chicago and Wisconsin. We intended to stop and visit with Megan (the boy's cousin). Megan is recovering from cleft pallet surgery. The boys were both coughing we didn't get to visit Megan at the hospital and instead we just visited with Grandpa and Grandma Sutton. We also visited with Ashlei and had lunch at Applebees, she waited on us! The boys were a bit disappointed she couldn't sit down with us, but we all had a great time.
We made it to Wisconsin and had a great long weekend! Caleb and Papa spent lots of time at the barn! Caleb was hoping to see a calf being born, but the mommy cow delivered during the night. He was still so excited to see the new calf.
We went to grandpa's 75th birthday party and enjoyed seeing everyone and sharing Micaiah pictures and stories !
We visited grandpa and grandma pelkie and enjoyed being with them! although we didn't see much of grandpa. We brought our dvd player to show them video of Micaiah and when grandpa found out our dvd player would play any dvd, he jumped out of his chair and found a Brett Farve dvd he had received and we popped it in! grandpa enjoyed watching the dvd with the boys (i'll post pics tomorrow, i'm getting tired)
While in WI we found out a close friend of our extended family was diagnosed with brain cancer. She decided she wanted to marry the love of her life and called Peter and asked him to marry them. They flew Peter to WI on Tuesday and he performed the wedding Tuesday night. What a beautiful wedding! It sure made us appreciate all we have.
While at the wedding my cousin Rosemary graciously watched the boys so we could attned the wedding. I prepared the boys and let them no she would be coming and we would be home later. Caleb says, mommy is your friend rosebush going to....? i don't even know what he said after that, I was laughing so hard.
I also talked with our friends who are adopting from Ethiopia and their little boy was unofficially diagnosed hydrocyphalic (sp?). They just the CAT scan results back that his brain looks normal! YEAH GOD! We are so grateful Ben is even healthier than anticipated. So of course, Keith and Shelley responded with, okay we'll take another one then! They initially intended on adopting 2, but when Ben was thought to be hydrocyphalic they felt maybe it would be best to just adopt him. Now they are back to 2!!!!!
We are all home and happy to be together and home again! Peter spent the weekend painting Micaiah's room! We are so ready for her to be home! no new news yet! still praying things go speedy. we have been home 3 weeks and it seems like forever since I held my baby girl.
