I have my hopes high and I feel like all I have been doing is praying! We are officially in PGN!!!!! as of either Thursday or Friday of last week. Friday, March 17, Micaiah turned 6 months old. happy 1/2 year baby girl :o)
PGN is like the Attorney General's Office. they will be looking over all documentation and interviews involved in our case and then approve the adoption for the final time. once that is complete and we exit PGN we have about 2 weeks of gathering birth certificate, visa, passport, final medical exam, blah blah blah, and then we can go pick up Micaiah.
i posted on our networking group of others who have or are adopting from Guatemala. I asked how long PGN is taking, I received three responses:
1. We went into PGN on Feb 17, and got out on March 13. From what I can tell, PGN is moving pretty fast lately!
2. We went in Feb. 27 and got kicked out for 2 previos, still waiting to get back in.
3. Our agency has had several PGN outs in the 12 days to 2 week timespan recently.
WE WILL TAKE DOOR # 3 :o) (this would bring Micaiah home just after Easter, and before Mother's Day)
What a gift it would be to hold my baby girl on Mother's Day!!!!!! Last year Caleb started potty training on Mother's Day, I thought that was a great gift! Do they always get better every year?
other fun stuff:
Caleb got a 2 wheeler from a friend who grew out of it, we (mommy and Caleb) put training wheels on it and he is officially a bike rider!!! he is soooo cute to watch, after only a few falls he seems to have got the steering and brakes all figured out.
then, of course Elijah wants to be a bike rider too! He enjoys holding the handle and walking the bike around!
they are so cute. they have so much fun playing together. Last night our church had a family fun night at an inflatable stuff place (i.e. inflatable basketall court, bounce house, and three seperate very large obstacle courses). The kids had a blast, Caleb raced through the obstacle course with a friend, close to a dozen times!!!! he even went through the one intended for kids 6 and up, and completed it solo about 1/2 dozen times! we were impressed. Elijah's favorite part of the night was basketball! He shot hoops most of the night! The kids really had a lot of fun!
we are so grateful for this precious life God has given us and we are enjoying every moment of it. I feel so fortunate and so blessed! thank you Jesus!
