well, it feels as if every time we get good news, bad news is soon to come our way. Yes we are in PGN, as of Monday the 20th. But yet there is always a catch. We have just found out that there is a new requirement, anyone who has a birthmother who is a minor, Micaiah's birthmother is 13, is required to go through an interview. This is a brand new policy that they have just begun implementing in every case involving a mother who is a minor. So...we wait for an interview to be scheduled (only on Fridays) pray like crazy that Heidy is fulling willing to come to the interview (my caseworkers don't feel this should be an issue as they now have a rapport with her) and then our attorney will send someone to Coban to pick her up and bring her to the interview. My caseworker has said this will most likely hold up our case in PGN somewhat because we will be going through an extra step that not all are required to do. We have no timeframe on how long this will take?
so please be praying for: a interview appointment scheduled very very soon!!, no difficulties with Heidy or her mom being willing to come to the interview, smooth pick up and getting to the interview on time, on the first try. and please pray for Heidy. She was under the impression, as were we, that she was now removed from this situation. Guatemala's government is now making her, for the 5th time, express herself and her decsision to give Micaiah up for adoption. I can't imagine the difficulty this must be for a 13 year old girl!
